Following the government announcement that 50 to 64 year olds will be able to receive a free flu vaccination from 1 December, the practice is working to make this available to newly eligible patients as early in December as we can.
As soon as we have supplies of the vaccine available we will contact patients aged 50 to 64 to offer you an appointment. If you fall within this age group and are not in one of the eligible ‘at risk groups’ please do not contact the practice to book an appointment as we are not yet able offer you a definite date or time.
We are continuing to provide flu vaccinations to over 65s, under 65s with certain long-term medical conditions, pregnant women and young children. If you are in one of these eligible groups and have not yet had your flu vaccine please contact the practice as soon as possible to book an appointment.
If you think you might have coronavirus or you’ve been in close contact with someone who has it, visit NHS 111 online coronavirus service for advice.
We are NOT able to refer you for a COVID test if you or a family member are experiencing symptoms. Please do not call us and ask for this test, you will need to go online to nhs.111 and book your own test.
We know that this might not be convenient or easy but this is NOT a service or appointment that we are able to provide.
To help you make a decision on whether you or a family member should be attending school or work, here are a couple of handy decision trees to help you get to the right answer.
Should my child be attending school?
Should I be entering a shared work space?
We have set aside flu vaccinations for the following groups of people
If you fall into one of these groups then please call the practice to book an appointment or complete this simple request form and one of the team will call and book a mutually convenient time for you to have your jab
We are currently vaccinating during the day but may hold another Saturday clinic in the future
